2018 MLB Team Tiers and Teams to Watch
Unquestioned the best team in MLB is the Houston Astros. They are the "Elite" tier in baseball. It doesn't mean they will coast into the World Series but there are NO challengers to how good this team is.

There are teams with positive "hype" that should not be thought of as ready for 2018. These teams can be "young on the rise" teams or teams that made massive upgrades in the offseason. My stance is these teams are not as good as the momentum they are getting in the press. These teams are either another year away, need to make more deals for pitching, or have a significant offense deficiency.
